Spending, spending, spending.........

Blimey, yesterday I went on a massive clothes shop which I found therapeutic especially after the tough few weeks I have had.

I bought some clothes from Peacocks then from Burton and then from Asda - I spent an obscene amount of money but the clothes I have bought are fabulous!

Off to the East London meet today which I am looking forward too.

Normal Service Is Resumed

Well, I am back to London now and returning for weekends to care for dad.

Annoyingly, I haven't lost any more weight since the last time I checked myself but, at least, I haven't gained which is good.

My mate gave me an exercise bike and am starting on 5 minutes twice a day to begin with and will up it in a few days.  My poor legs can feel it!  I have NEVER exercised in my life before, but I intend to keep it up so I can see the weight fall off me.

Foodwise, I am still eating "safe food" and need to start trying other foods as friends who were "done" at the same time as me are more adventurous than me.  But I figured that I need to get through the last few weeks before I change anything.

Constipation is still a big problem and I am taking regular laxatives every 3-4 days to keep me "regular"!  I hate being constipated and straining on the loo as if I am about to give birth to a 9lb baby!!

I am meeting up with a mate tomorrow to go shopping in Leytonstone and then to her local Asda to look at their clothes.  I bought shed loads at home and now have a huge collection of new clothes in my wardrobe!!

Safe Foods

Hey!

Now that mum's service has past and we as a family are getting back to some form of normality, I think it is now time to try something else to add to my safe food list.

I still have no hunger or appetite so am struggling to even think about what to try and what to try to avoid.

I have no head hunger nor do I crave any carbs at all - most odd.

My weight loss seems to have plateaued a bit, but I know that this is normal and I need to try to eat more so my body can burn off the calories rather than holding onto the fat I am trying to expel!

I will be trying to update this blog daily too as I find it cathartic to share my experiences with others.

Crazy for Cous Cous...........

My mates at work won't believe it when I return after my compassionate leave.

I have been munching on Cous Cous like it's gone out of fashion. I always took the piss outta my mates who ate it since I always thought it was tasteless and nasty looking!

But I am loving it.

Snack A Jacks, ahoy!!

OMFG - I just love Snack a Jacks. They go down well and chew up to nothing.

I'm also loving Cous Cous from the Salad Bar at Morrisons. That goes down fantastically too :-)

My diet is still poor but after mum's service on Wednesday I am hoping that I can start to try other food soon.

So getting there slowly, foodwise.

A quick update

Hey guys,

I'm not going to rattle on about mum etc as it is still pretty painful.

I popped back to London for a few days to clear my head, sort stuff out and pick up some parcels.

I've been buying like crazy from eBay and got some nice gear :-)

Oh and I now weigh 18st 7lb!

My Mum and Best Friend has died today

I am saddened to say that for a while I'm going to have to abandon this blog following the sudden and sad death of my best friend and mum today.

Falling arse over tit.............

Well, if you didn't already know, we have had a shed load of snow overnight which made getting to work this morning bloody difficult. All buses were cancelled and the tube was up the shoot too, d'oh! So it was a 40min walk to my local tube whilst trying not to fall over and avoiding the limited traffic and so on.

As I new that I'd have to walk to the tube I rushed my breakfast (Rice Krispies) and paid for it - I felt awfully sick but that soon past and I managed several cups of tea at work.

I finished work at 12pm as planned and there was still no buses so I had to walk back home from the tube and I was smug and thinking to myself "hey, I done well not to fall over" and, predictably, I fell arse over tit as I turned into my road. How embarrassing! My pride was hurt :-(

I was glad to get home as I was freezing. I had wrapped up warm this morning including a t-shirt under my shirt, 2 fleeces and my huge coat and gloves. Hell, without my flab I am getting ccccccold!! Brrrrr.

I had an appointment at 4pm at my GP's to see the nurse as I was convinced that my ears needed syringing. Apparently they are ok - so god knows why I sometimes cannot hear properly. It's like when you have water in your ear which you cannot remove. I'll go back to see a doc next time. I asked for more laxatives and she accused me of abusing the laxatives to aid weight-loss! Fucking cheeky bitch. She did, however, agree to 3 months of Movicol.

So a pretty good day despite my pride being dented!

My new addiction!

Today has been a lovely day where I had time to reflect on yesterday and, more so, on my WLS future.

Foodwise, things are getting better. Although I am still not eating much, what I am eating stays down and I enjoy them! :-)

Breakfast now is a very small bowl of Rice Krispies, lunch is a Ryvita Rye Bread with Lactose-free cheese and dinner is usually half a tin of Soup.

I am crazily addicted to my Caffeine-Free tea since hot drinks, for some reason, go down easier than plain old boring water! So I reckon I get 2-3 litres of fluids a day now!

I have also been taking regular laxatives at night time as without doing so I become awfully constipated. But yesterday and today I have been going very well, so I will knock them on the head tonight.
