As you know I was having problems with my blood sugars going crazily high when I was in hospital. I was seen urgently by the diabetic nurse at Whipps Cross who re-started my Insulin and increased one of my diabetic tablets. I was well annoyed.
Anyway, I stopped taking insulin on the 19th December as my blood sugars were crazily low but normal and then 2 days later I stopped one of the other diabetic tablets.
Now my blood sugars are normal and I am only on Metformin 1g three times a day and I am hoping that this will be reduced or stopped when I am reviewed on the 5th January!
So, it seems that my diabetes is slowly going away - next stop is my cholesterol and blood pressure tablets!
